Erwin, the cat that went missing and became famous from his wanted poster a few months back, has been spotted near Ashton Fine Jewelry store.
If you walk around New York City you may have seen posters offering a reward for finding Erwin, a cat that had gone missing under mysterious circumstances. The owner claimed Erwin had been thrown away with a box; at first, the owner wasn’t sure whether or not Erwin was alive. But was given a ray of hope when the box was found in an alley.
Recently, Erwin was spotted alive and well, and even captured on security camera video outside the Jewelry store. Despite that, Erwin remains uncaptured; the alley behind Ashton Fine is private property, and letting strangers in is seen as a security concern by the store’s owners. Store manager Ryley L. tells the Gateway Report; “While we can’t allow people behind our store, especially not after robbers used it to gain access last year, we have told our security to keep an eye out for Erwin, and leave food and water out hoping that will gain us his trust.”
We asked Erwin’s owner to clarify what they meant by “large reward.” They reiterated that the reward is substantial, but wanted to keep the exact sum between themselves and whoever brings Erwin home unless that person agrees otherwise.
